Second Tactical Squad 10th Company

Though the 10th Company, unlike latter space marine chapters, this company is one of the many full battle companies. The Legions of old did not have designated scout companies but rather specially trained fully power armored space marines to conduct recon missions.

The sergeant wields a plasma pistol to kill heavy targets. Though he hopes he is not turned into a smoking pile of slag in the process.

Garviel Loken, Captain of the 10th Company

Captain Loken is the relatively young but experienced captains in the sixteenth legion. The last member to be inducted into the mournival, a cthonian he was a staunch believer in what the Luna Wolves legion stood for, and after they changed to the Sons of Horus he could see the old ways disappearing and slowing turning into a different legion all together. When the Heresy at Isstvan III occurred he was one of the senior loyalist captains to take command.

Locasta Tactical Squad 10th Company

Locasta Tactical Squad, while not the first squad of the company, are a veteran unit that has fought in almost every battle the 10th company has fought in since its founding. It is also the favored squad of the 10th company's captain Garviel Loken.

Sergeant Nero Vipus is the charismatic leader of Locasta tactical squad and a close friend of Garviel Loken. Having a sense of humor is a favored amongst the men of the entire company.

The warrior on the left is a veteran of the terran unification wars as the image on his armor depicts the Emperor breaking the final bastion of the Panpacific empire.

The warrior on the left bears on of the marks of the warrior lodges, a silver eight pointed star.

10th Company Command Squad

This is the command squad of the 10th company, though they are hardly joined by their captain in battle.
I chose to go with grey armor as the main color scheme for the Sons of Horus for two fold. First when I read Horus Rising, the book that inspired me to do this army in the first place, the cover of it depicts the Sons of Horus as wearing grey armor. The second reason is that I can now us them as either the traitor Sons of Horus, or the Loyalist Luna Wolves. I can also display more icongraphy on their armor and use multiple trim colors to show the difference between the companies.

Some soldiers in the Sixteenth Legion already show signs of chaos, like this sergeant who is praising Horus as a king. A notion many traitors followed.

The Banner of the 10th Company records some of the Legion's toughest engagements including the war of compliance on 63-19, Murder, and the war of the Interex. Above the Sons of Horus emblem is the common warcry. Kill for the Living, Kill for the Dead.

Many Soldiers have warcrys and the name of their primarch painted on their armor in honor of the warmaster. This soldier above has the name Lupercal posted which is Horus' last name.
